Sustainable development
Environmental sustainability is a guiding principle: each opportunity is assessed on its technical, sanitary and environmental conditions.
Commitments
Of the river, the soil, the forests and biodiversity, as the guiding principle of every investment.
Legal sourcing, management plans and replacement of the resources harvested.
Traceability, sanitary controls and ecosystem carrying-capacity studies.
Water availability cannot be inferred from the presence of the river: each project checks flows, quality, permits and environmental compatibility.
Waste management, effluent treatment, material recovery and biomass from wood residues.
Assessment of distributed generation and energy efficiency in the electrical diagnosis of each industrial area.
Training and local jobs
The proposal replaces the view of local employment as a secondary commitment with a training, certification and employability policy linked to companies’ actual demand.
Security
Security is an essential part of the investment decision. A Regional Comprehensive Security Programme for Productive Development is proposed, with two areas: security of operations and protection of urban and logistics centres, respecting human rights and the applicable legal framework. It would not be responsible to promise a total absence of incidents: what can be built is a system of prevention, risk management and business continuity with defined responsibilities.
Public services
Proposed commitments that are only agreed when there is technical, legal and budgetary feasibility.
